NEVER Regret Believing That You Have a Future

    March 28, 2019 /

“Live as if tomorrow isn’t promised” is a really cool concept. It’s true, tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us individually. Poem: You’ll ask yourself how you got through it.

    March 14, 2019 /

“We are broke.” “So broke.” “We can’t afford this apartment.” “It’s the best we can do.” You’ll ask yourself how you got through it. “We are still broke.” “So broke.” “Who knew getting pregnant could be THAT easy?” “I feel like multiple people tried to tell us.” “What are we going to do?” “I don’t know.” You’ll ask yourself how you got through it. “What if I wanted to be a doctor? Major in Biology?” “I think you could be a doctor.” “But we’re broke.” “So broke. We can put your first class on the credit card.” “Isn’t that like 29% APR?!” You’ll ask yourself how you got through it.…

    Self-Care

    March 7, 2019 /

Self-care is not a day trip to the spa, an expensive meal, a lush vacation … Self-care is learning how to sit in a quiet room and mind your thoughts.  Self-care is walking in the rain and learning to embrace the chill on your skin.  Self-care is playing hide-and-seek with your kids.  Self-care is taking walks under an open sky. Self-care is reading that one book or hearing that one story that can always calm your soul and make you believe in dreams again. Self-care is walking barefoot in the grass. Self-care is creating something that didn’t exist before. Self-care is reminding yourself that you are more than your job,…
